NOMINATIONS & ELECTIONS

APPLICATION DEADLINE TO PRE-SLATE FOR CANDIDACY: SEPTEMBER 15th at 11:59 PM

ELIGIBILITY FOR CANDIDACY:
To be considered to hold office on the CNSA Board of Directors, candidates must:

A. Hold current membership as defined in Article IV of the CNSA Bylaws.

B. Be enrolled as a nursing student at the time of election with at least 6 months remaining in their nursing program (must graduate after April 5th, 2020).

C. Complete the Candidate Application provided by the CNSA Nominations & Elections Committee.

D. Show school and chapter endorsement by submitting one (1) Letter of Reference Forms from any of the following faculty: Dean, Dept Chair, Professor, Faculty advisor. **If running from the floor, these may be submitted up to one week following election.

E. Have reviewed the CNSA Bylaws and CNSA Policies.

F. Attend an interview with CNSA Nominations & Election Committee. For candidates running from the floor, interviews will be held in person the morning of October 12th, 2019.

G. Sign the Willingness to Serve Attestation Form. This form will be provided online and in person at Convention.

H. Be able to attend the 2019-2020 CNSA Board of Directors Orientation. Specific dates will be determined on October 12th, 2019 during your first board meeting.

I. Additional requirements for the following officer positions: President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer: Must hold or have held a leadership position within their local CNSA school chapter. Must have completed and signed form from your chapter advisor confirming your leadership position(s) held.
